With this, logistics mangers putting container shipping to work are facing the biggest shift in their carrier base in 20 years—and now must adapt their procurement and contract strategy.
He cautions, however, that carriers must continue to watch their spending. At the same time, Hapag-Lloyd may be on its way to triple its earnings this year. Where will that come from? This is a potential mega-problem in waiting. Chris Rogers , an analyst with Panjiva , an online search engine with detailed information on global suppliers and manufacturers, observes that another risk lurking for the carrier industry is that some nation states will commence a new round of low-cost capacity construction. According to Rogers, only a handful of carriers have contracted—including Hyundai Merchant Marine and Hamburg Sud—through a mixture of not replacing older capacity and foregoing chartered vessels.
This leads Rogers and other market analysts to conclude that logistics managers must pay close attention to the market if they seek the best rates for their assets, services and shipments. Panjiva notes that container lines operating on U. Panjiva analysis of over 4, carrier-country pairs shows Hapag-Lloyd likely lost out on European-based routes.
The process of consolidation certainly continues. Specifically, the duo would have a combined fleet of vessels operating over a much-expanded network, with the capacity exceeding 2. The sustained period of lower fuel costs and second-hand vessels provided South Korean carrier SM Line to enter the fray. Then came the purchase of 11 Hanjin ships at discount prices and two key Hanjin terminals in Gwangyang and Incheon, South Korea.
West Coast service, deploying five 6, TEU vessels into the trade. In the typed script before rehearsals began, it is: "keep your chin. Which is right? The next place to look is anything in Hammerstein's own hand. The original scripts were all typed, and neither we nor the Library of Congress have any pages in Hammerstein's hand. So one theory is this: "keep your chin up high" is more of a clich.
Would Hammerstein have wanted a clich? And yet there is no way to keep your chin up high without your head held high as well.
Of course, in this instance the song is based on a sampler which Nettie says Julie gave to her—so somewhere in musical theater logic there must be that sampler—and it can only be written one way! Keep your chin, or hold your head? Which is better? And which is right? Which brings us to an even more difficult quandary. A couple of lines down Nettie sings "and the sweet silver song of a lark.
But then at the Finale Ultimo consistent in all the material from the original production the townsfolk sing " Seldon talking about a song that "we used to sing every morning when I went to school. Did the sampler that Julie gave Nettie get it wrong? Did Julie get the sampler from Dr. Seldon in the first place?
Are the townsfolk sloppy? Is this just a mistake that neither Hammerstein nor Rodgers ever caught? Most productions just assume it is a mistake and sing "a lark" both times.
But is that the right decision? I think management has to recognize this--and hire wait staff for the bar area. Also, the bartender needs to take a course in customer service I recently had the good fortune of dining with my husband and four other friends at Chloe's. We felt welcomed the minute we entered the restaurant and proceeded to have a delicious and thoroughly comfortable meal.

It's a rare place where six people can all agree that every aspect of their experience was terrific! We are all looking forward to returning to Chloe's again soon! My wife and I had heard mixed reviews about Chloe from friends and family. We live close by. As it turns out, we should have listened to friends who said dont go. The evening was pretty awful. Ambiance is nice and that is about it. The food was mediocre, but passable.

The real issue was terrible service. Long waits between dishes. The waitress, I think Deb was her name, did a poor job fielding basic questions about items on the menu. Zero personality or friendliness. It will be a long time, if ever, that we return.
